Role Overview:

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with general ledger maintenance. This role also involves supporting the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive attitude toward improving accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing:
• Accurately process and record incoming invoices in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and allocation to the correct accounts.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
• Monitor and maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies as they arise.

Bank Reconciliation:
• Reconcile bank statements with internal records on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.

General Ledger Maintenance:
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, ensuring proper categorisation and documentation of transactions.

Financial Reporting Support:
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure financial records comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain organised and complete documentation of financial transactions, ensuring easy retrieval for audits and internal reviews.

Assistance with Audits:
• Provide necessary support during internal and external audits, ensuring timely access to financial records and documentation.

Process Improvement:
• Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and procedures and suggest ways to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Support for Strategic Projects:
• Assist the finance team with financial tasks related to ongoing and new projects, providing essential data and analysis as needed.

Ad Hoc Duties:
• Perform any additional duties as required to support the finance team’s objectives and contribute to the overall success of the department.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the iGaming or gaming industry.
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
